Singapore, SingaporeJob Description:The APAC Director, Physician Programs, Heart Recovery is a key leadership role within Healthcare Solutions, responsible for developing and managing a high-performing team, building strategic relationships with healthcare executives, and building MCS programs within and across the Asia Pacific (APAC) region to drive growth at targeted accounts. As we build this capability within the APAC region, the Director will lead the roll out of our PPD / KOL engagement playbooks. This role will establish and execute account strategies to align internal resources with customer needs, ensuring integration of solutions that support both the company’s and customers' long-term objectives.This role demands a driven, strategic leader with the vision to shape and grow key account relationships within the healthcare sector, creating and delivering impactful solutions that highlight clinical and value-based solutions aligned with our mission to improve patient care and operational outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership
  • Recruit, develop and maintain a team of highly functional leaders, setting direction, and overseeing performance to drive team success within Healthcare Solutions.
  • Ensure all activities adhere to the highest standards of integrity and comply with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards, maintaining full compliance with governing bodies.
  • Build on best practices, across Abiomed (US/EMEA) to create a thriving regional capability that leverages and deploys our global playbook.
  • Active and contributing member of the APAC regional commercial leadership team.
Strategic Relationship Development
  • Cultivate sustainable relationships with physicians, healthcare executives, clinician care teams, and other key decision-makers to support account growth, strategic alignment, and increased influence in the market.
  • In partnership with clinical and medical partners, seek to accelerate programmatic approach and care protocols across centers for shock teams.
  • Coordinate with internal resources to address customer needs and facilitate the successful adoption of solutions, fostering strong internal and external relationships to ensure cohesive program execution.
  • Develop networks of KOL relationships that cross the patient pathway, including building educational and speaker champions within region.
Account Strategy & Planning
  • Lead the development of comprehensive account plans for healthcare systems. Collaborate across functions (e.g., Healthcare Solutions, Commercial Team, Professional Education, Data Analytics) to align customer needs with internal capabilities.
  • Create playbooks, based on account type/need, for execution by market.
  • Create a prioritized list of key accounts and markets, given limited resources, to ensure we maximize the number of patients treated.
Account Assessment & Optimization
  • Analyze customer data, assess needs, and work with field sales and other commercial resources to enhance customer satisfaction and achieve business objectives.
Required QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree preferred)Experience: 15+ years in customer-facing roles in medical device or healthcare related industry with diverse experience in sales, strategic accounts, marketing; 5+ years in people leadership with proven track record of success. Preference given to healthcare experience in the MCS or Cardiovascular space.Skills:
  • Prior KOL management experience
  • Prior experience creating and implementing strategic programs with health systems
  • Prior experience in large regional role
  • Strong ability to navigate multiple stakeholders and align cross functional resources to support a successful implementation to an account strategy
  • Mastery of cardiac anatomy and clinical data
  • Ability to travel extensively, including weekends (up to 70%)
  • Strong understanding of regional healthcare policy, hospital, and physician reimbursement
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships across organizational levels (both internally and externally)
  • Balance between strategic planning and tactical execution
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or related field
