What the role is:The Finance and Facilities Division (FFD) is responsible for the Ministry's financial matters, procurement management and facilities development and management. FFD promotes proper stewardship of the Ministry's resources by applying best practices across its various functions. The Finance Branch provides financial stewardship and partnership by optimising resource allocation and management, in addition to delivering sound financial administration. The Financial Governance Team oversees governance policies to ensure effectiveness, as well as compliance to various financial controls and grant governance requirements.What you will be working on:We are looking for a proactive and dynamic individual to join the Financial Governance Team. You will be required to: • Understand governance and risk management concepts and requirements; • Apply concepts to develop governance policies; • Partner MSF's divisions in the management of grants in compliance with the Instruction Manual on Grants Governance and continuously improve processes and systems to strengthen grant governance and enhance operational efficiency; and • Report on governance compliance standards. These governance and risk management concepts and requirements will primarily cover grant administration and extend to performance evaluation and stakeholder management. Responsibilities: You will be part of a team responsible for improving grant governance standards in MSF through policies, staff training and data analytics. To do so, you will need to work with MSF divisions and other Social Sector agencies to: • Review and develop governance frameworks, processes, and systems to meet specific targets and timelines; • Validate MSF divisions' compliance with governance standards; and • Drive and support data analytics framework and processes to meet risk management, fraud detection, investigation, and other reporting requirements. You will also be required to oversee and collaborate with MSF divisions to implement programme evaluation plans to improve accountability and ensure that programme objectives are achieved.What we are looking for:
  • A tertiary qualification with at least 5 years of relevant work experience • A good understanding of governance and risk management concepts • Strong analytical and conceptual skills coupled with good problem-solving skills • Effective communication and interpersonal skills • Self-driven and a team player
