What the role is:The SupTech, Surveillance & Analytics (SSA) Division sits within the Inspection & Supervisory Methodologies Department (IMD) and is responsible for the exploration, development and management of AI and Data Analytics (AIDA) products for the financial supervision group (FSG) to support supervisory priority outcomes.What you will be working on:We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in solution architecture to design, enhance and manage robust, scalable, and secure solutions and platforms, which support supervision of the financial industry. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business requirements and technology solutions, with a particular emphasis on security considerations.Key responsibilities include:Design and develop complex, scalable system architectures that meet business needs and security requirements, taking into consideration the enterprise architecture landscape and IT policies/proceduresCollaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into technical requirementsReview and provide deep technical expertise to assess technical proposals and specificationsEvaluate and recommend appropriate technologies and frameworks for solution implementationEnsure that security best practices are integrated into all aspects of solution designProvide technical leadership and mentorship to vendor infrastructure and development teamsOversee vulnerability management, security scans and penetration testing on current and new systemsPerform security risk assessments to identify security and/or other compliance issues with IT policies and procedures, and recommend mitigation strategies or solutions, then oversee the proper implementation of the solutionsStay current with emerging technologies and cybersecurity trends, and propose appropriate changesManage and optimise existing platforms, ensuring their security, performance, and scalabilityLead and manage deployments, platform upgrades, migrations, and integrationsWork with internal tech teams and vendor(s) to implement pro-active monitoring of application system health and upkeep of system performance.What we are looking for:Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related disciplineAt least 5 years of working experience in solution architecture or similar senior technical role, with experience leading and facilitating solution conceptualisation sessions with business and technology stakeholdersHands-on experience of major cloud platforms (e.g. AWS) and cloud-native technologiesStrong knowledge of various aspects of IT, such as infrastructure, network, devops, data, security, and design.Sound understanding of the technical aspects of systems integration in an environment with diverse technologies.Experience in handling cybersecurity and designing information security of applicationsStrong communication and problem-solving skillsPast programming experience will be preferredExperience with SAS Software Suite (e.g. Viya, Data Management) and/or containerisation technologies will be an added advantage.You will be working in a fast-paced environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and needs of stakeholders, as well as the agility to respond to changes and developments.As part of the shortlisting process for this role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.About Monetary Authority of Singapore:MAS is the central bank of Singapore.
