- You will contribute to and support the Ethics & Compliance team, which is part of the larger Legal & Secretariat team, in writing, reviewing and implementing compliance policies and procedures across the group, globally.
- Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in a similar compliance or regulatory role covering various compliance areas such as personal data protection, anti-bribery, trade sanctions, and ethics and conduct.
- Preference for an individual who has exposure and is familiar with laws and regulations in Singapore, and in key jurisdictions such as US, UK and EU, and is able to translate these into policies and procedures that apply to the organization.
- Knowledge of personal data protection regulations and SGX mainboard rules are a bonus.
- Experience in developing or administering processes and procedures as they relate to data protection and governance, such as third-party due diligence and risk management, and data breach incident management plans.
- Experience in managing compliance processes and procedures, including third party due diligence screening, management of bribery or sanctions red flags, vendor risk management, working with relevant business units in implementing requisite anti-bribery or trade sanctions processes etc.
- Able to develop and roll out compliance training programs, including organization-wide communications, electronic learning and face-to-face or online workshops.
- Able to work independently, a good team player and open to learning and administering new compliance or regulatory areas, as may be required.
- A recognized degree in Law, Accountancy, Business Management, Finance, or equivalent
- A practitioner certificate in personal data protection (Singapore), EU General Data Protection Regulation certification, or an equivalent certification in the privacy field is an added advantage.
- Possess positive learning attitude and be willing to acquire new skills and knowledge, especially in the regulatory and compliance area.
- Be a self-starter and take ownership and display initiative in the area of work assigned.
- Possesses good verbal and written communication skills, and able to draft policies and procedures, and deliver clear and concise communications.
- Willing to extensively engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, when required.
- Having flexibility and ability to adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment is essential.
- High resilience with strong determination to succeed and excel.
