- Strategic KOL Engagement: Craft and implement a regional strategy for identifying and engaging with KOLs, incorporating annual mapping to highlight and prioritise influential healthcare professionals. This strategy aims to foster productive, long-term relationships with KOLs in alignment with local and global objectives.
- Practice Development Initiative Execution: Lead the execution of practice development initiatives for PC IOLs across the region, aiming to elevate practice standards and promote the adoption of advanced IOL technologies.
- Education and Training Programme Oversight: Support the creation and delivery of HCP education and training programmes, particularly in the established markets, ensuring they meet the diverse requirements of the Asia Pacific healthcare sector with high-quality, relevant content.
- Strategy Development and Implementation for Single-Use: Champion initiatives to shift towards single-use Phacoemulsification and Vitreoretinal disposables, focusing on patient safety, regulatory compliance, and environmental sustainability.
- Symposia and Advisory Boards Coordination: Organise and manage Alcon symposia at key ophthalmic congresses and company-owned events, and coordinate advisory boards as needed. These efforts focus on promoting scientific dialogue, sharing the latest industry insights, and facilitating networking among healthcare professionals.
- Collaborative Strategy Execution: Collaborate with country teams to support and adapt the execution of KOL and HCP engagement strategies across various markets, ensuring alignment with the overall product portfolio.
- International and Regional Collaboration: Engage with international and global teams to ensure a unified approach to KOL engagement, symposia, and advisory board planning, sharing best practices and insights to foster cohesion.
- Adaptive Strategy Based on Insights: Regularly monitor the healthcare environment, regulatory changes, and market trends across the Asia Pacific, adjusting strategies to ensure continued effectiveness and compliance.
- Strategic Partnerships and Business Development: Identify and develop strategic partnerships with healthcare institutions, academic centers, and technology companies to advance the adoption of advanced IOL technologies. This could include co-development projects, research collaborations, or commercial partnerships that enhance product offerings and market penetration.
- Digital Transformation and Technology Utilisation: Champion digital transformation efforts within the region, leveraging technology to improve marketing efficiency, customer engagement, and educational programs. This could include implementing CRM systems, utilising data analytics for market insights, or introducing digital tools for virtual training and symposia including but not limited to SuperEvent.
- Performance and Impact Evaluation: Employ defined metrics to measure the effectiveness of KOL engagement, HCP educational programmes, and the success of symposia and advisory boards, using these insights to refine future strategies.
