Our team focuses on increasing technology adoption of cloud computing for government and state owned organizations by engaging directly with technical heads, C-level executives and influencers at all levels. We work with partners to bring cloud solutions to support our customers mission needs. Bring your business background, technical depth, and communication skills needed to help further establish AWS as the cloud leader in Government.As the Government Finance Lead, APJ Public Sector Government, you will be part of the sales team that shapes and delivers on a geographic strategy to help governments transform. Your responsibilities will include engaging with C-suite customers across public sector organizations to deepen our relationships, working with strategic industry partners, attending and speaking at industry events to drive thought leadership, heading the process to build our government solutions, creating, heading and closing significant business opportunities for AWS. You will work closely with customer account managers and sales leadership to support their interactions with public sector customers. You will work with solution architects to develop and promote cloud patterns and solutions for government, including digital government. You will provide insight and feedback to AWS product and services teams to help evolve future AWS offerings for future adoption by customers.The ideal candidate will have business/consulting experience and experience working with public sector customers in APJ, a demonstrated sales experience interacting at the government elite and CxO/VP level, and a deep understand of technology. They should have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges; with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions, and work across organisations to build consensus. They will have a proven track record of heading and driving multiple complex industry initiatives to meet business and sales objectives, a customer-obsessed and collaborative approach, strong data and metrics bias, understanding of government across APJ, and a passion for helping governments transform using cloud technologies.You should expect to travel roughly 40% of the time across Japan, Korea, India, ASEAN and ANZ countries.Key job responsibilities
You will be responsible for 1/ Building AWS profile for Government Finance across APJ; 2/ Leading large and complex deals supporting customer account managers to position and sell AWS; 3/ Creating go-to-market propositions with partners that are relevant to APJ Government Finance Customers; and 4/ Coordinating with other teams across AWS to support growing revenue. You will be measured on the total revenue with Government Finance customers across APJ.We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Singapore, SGPBASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
- 5+ years of professional or military experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedulesPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
- Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements
