- Conduct outdoor adventure camp activities and facilitate students' reflection and learning. • Ensure students' safety through safety instructions and adherence to procedures. • Provide administrative and logistical support for camp activities. • Plan and evaluate camp programme, to ensure achievement of learning outcomes. As an OAE, you will typically facilitate 4D3N or 3D2N camps as part of a 5-day work week, which may include Saturdays. Under our Work-Rest-Learn cycle, you will be given a rest day (Off-in-Lieu) after each camp, followed by non-camp weekdays dedicated to preparation for the next camp and professional learning. This rhythm supports both recovery and continuous growth between each camp deployment.
- Passion for character development in our students. • Keen interest in outdoor adventure activities. • Ability to connect and establish rapport with students. • Capability to perform and supervise activities at height and in waters. • Ability to work collaboratively in a team. • Physical fitness and mental resilience to carry out responsibilities effectively. • Experience in conducting outdoor activities for students would be an advantage. In general, applicants can expect to hear from us within 4 weeks of the close of the application window. If you are shortlisted, you will be required to attend a 1-day compulsory selection programme at an MOE Outdoor Adventure Learning Centre (OALC), where you will be assessed on your competencies for various height- and water-based activities, including ability to swim in coastal waters. Candidates who are further shortlisted following the selection programme will be required to attend a 1-day attachment programme at an MOE OALC, which provides a preview of the job and comprises further assessments by MOE.
