
Senior Quantity Surveyor (MEP)

- Cost planning comprising establishing cost model, quantification of elemental cost items, sourcing pricing from either cost library or from suppliers/contractors, cost plan reconciliation between estimates versions, assess design options, updating the master cost library and lead commercial advisory with client and project consultant team
- Confer with engineers, architects, designers, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates as required to meet commercial objectives
- Tender documentation including reviewing with clients legal and procurement representatives, understanding the tender documents to the extent that appropriate commercial advice can be provided to key stakeholders, consolidate specifications, drawings and other key documents from others to finalise the tender document
- Prepare appropriate pricing documents including Bill of Quantities, schedule of works, schedule of rates, and prepare tender amendments if required.
- Tender management comprising pre-tender estimates and cost options estimations, souring of quotations, prepare cost comparisons for tender evaluations, lead commercial negotiations, leads commercial communications with contractor/suppliers/consultant team and client, tender recommendation reports, prepare letter of awards, purchase orders and contract documents for execution
- Tender and procurement activities for projects to be conducted via JLL’s cloud-based procurement platform
- Assist in all activities of the commercial procurement and admin department.
- On-board and pre-qualify vendors to JLL standards including maintenance of the directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors
- Research and evaluate prospective suppliers to deepen the tendering pool while maintaining positive supplier relations
- Preparation of payment valuations, coordination of associated invoices and project managers certificates where necessary to enable processing of vendor invoices
- Maintain cost monitoring and reporting systems in line with established procedures
- Final Account preparation for all contracts

- Any other duties as assigned in due course.
- A degree or diploma in a relevant field, and/or at least eight to ten years’ experience in a similar Cost Consultancy position.
- RICS / AAIQS / SISV / APQS qualifications preferred
- Relevant experience in a QS Consultancy firm will be advantageous
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technologically savvy
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Good analytical and strategic thinking skills
