Virtual Reality Integration for AMHS(Automated Material Handling System) Training Summary: The project explores the use of Virtual Reality (VR) to enhance training effectiveness and efficiency in AMHS operations. By leveraging VR technology through the Uptale platform, the team is looking to develop immersive, interactive training modules that reduce tool downtime, improve knowledge retention, and allow repeatable practice. Uptale leverages 360° virtual reality by blending real-life footage with computer-generated elements to create the experience for users. Department: AMHS (Automated Material Handling System) Project Title: Virtual Reality Integration for AMHS Training Project Description: Training in AMHS environments is often challenged by tool availability, manhour distribution, and the limited opportunity for repeatability. This project introduces VR as a solution to these challenges. Using Uptale, the training module will include 360° views, quizzes, embedded videos, and interactive elements to simulate real-world tasks. This approach allows trainees to familiarize themselves with complex procedures in a risk-free, repeatable environment, even outside scheduled training hours. Scope: Existing training material familiarization and training. Mechanical aptitude and hands-on technical skills required to learn existing training modules. Planning and Strategic design of VR experience. Requires initiative and creativity in proposing enhancements to content structure, interactivity, and overall training flow Develop VR content for AMHS training scenarios using Uptale. Deliverable: A fully functional VR training module for 2 existing training activities.
