MAS covers diverse topics ranging from pure mathematics to the applications of mathematics in cryptography, computing, business, and finance. PAP covers many areas of fundamental and applied physics, including quantum information, condensed matter physics, biophysics, and photonics. Over the years, SPMS has attracted talented individuals from around the world and Singapore to join as scientific leaders and researchers.Join the laboratories of Dr Cyrus Mostajeran (Mathematics) and Dr Endao Han (Physics) at the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences. We are seeking a Research Fellow to contribute to research at the interface of geometry and biophysics.Key Responsibilities:The successful applicant will be responsible for:Obtaining theoretical results at the interface of geometry and biophysicsDesigning, implementing, and testing algorithms to model active matterEngaging in scientific exchange with collaboration partners of the projectPreparing reports, scientific papers, and presentationsJob Requirements:PhD in mathematics, physics, computer science, or a closely related field of engineeringResearch experience in one or more of the following: biophysics, active matter, condensed matter physics, differential geometryEvidence of potential for excellence in researchEnthusiasm for applying advanced mathematical tools and techniques to applications in biophysicsGood written and oral communication skillsExperience in the use of programming languages and interest in the implementation of algorithms relevant to the projectThe College of Science seeks a diverse and inclusive workforce and is committed to equality of opportunity.
