This job is responsible for providing analytical support in a Global Markets Operations function for one or more operations product areas. Key responsibilities include analyzing and resolving highly complex operations problems and initiatives requiring exceptional handling and coordination of multiple operational and/or product specialists to resolve. Job expectations include managing projects and the introduction of new initiatives, systems, products, services, and processes and coordinating necessary expertise across multiple operations functions and products.Responsibilities:
  • Identify potential audit and compliance risks within the AML onboarding process; assess risk severity and prioritize mitigation efforts.
  • Prepare necessary documentation and materials for audits. Provide support during internal and external audits and regulatory examinations, ensuring all requests are met promptly and accurately.
  • Continuously review and analyze AML onboarding processes to identify areas for efficiency and compliance enhancement. Implement improvements and monitor their effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with various internal teams, including compliance, operations, and legal, to enhance AML practices and resolve issues. Engage with external auditors and regulators as required.
  • Develop and deliver AML training programs for APAC AML Onboarding team and Provide guidance on compliance best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of AML compliance activities, audit findings, and corrective actions taken. Prepare reports for senior management and regulatory bodies as required
  • Analyze trends in AML compliance and audit findings to predict potential future risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Skills:
  • At least 5 years’ working experience in a similar role is preferred
  • Excellent communications skills and ability to present to an audience.
  • Process design & standards qualifications
  • Knowledge of Client Due Diligence (AML) processes in Global Banking & Markets space
  • Knowledge of Client Due Diligence (AML) requirements of global jurisdictions
  • Training/Coaching best practices
  • Ability to train/coach audience in-person or via virtual channels
  • Experience of working in an Asia/Global environment.
  • Control focused mindset and good understanding of regulatory and reputational risks
  • Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic team environment.
  • Good written and oral English, Mandarin would be a plus
