From automating processes to leveraging smart factory technologies, robotics, and additive manufacturing, GE Aerospace is shaping the future of aviation at GE Aerospace Engine Services Singapore (GEAESS).GEAESS is our largest site for engine component Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), responsible for more than 60% of our global repair volume.Role Overview:Perform Chemical Cleaning, Stripping or Plating, tumble, plastisol injection & Grit blastingEnsure all production cycles data are filled in correctly in the Log BookConduct laboratory analysis on chemicals to ensure solutions are within specificationAssist periodic tank cleaning and perform chemical top up/make upPerform daily inspection as per maintenance checklist and ensure safe working practicesEnsure all processes are proper controlled, chemicals are not overheatedOperate hoist for loading/unloading chemical clean partsUnderstanding of High Risk Operation (HRO) and is part of Chemical Spill TeamAble to work in a chemical environmentPerform scheduled maintenance & housekeeping tasksThe Ideal Candidate:
  • Minimum GCE 'O' level with 3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing shopfloor environment
Required Qualifications:Minimum GCE ‘O’ level with 3 years of relevant experiencePreferably NITEC/Higher NITEC in Chemical Process Technology or equivalent; orDiploma in Chemical Engineering or equivalentAble to read and understand the manufacturing operation sheets and standard operation procedures in English.Preferred Qualifications:Preferably with min. 2 years of relevant working experienceWorked in a chemical or plating environment and able to operate grit blasting machineFamiliar with laboratory analysis e.g., Titration, X-Ray, Fluorescent for solution analysing, ultraviolet visible spectrophotometer, auto-titration, pH control system, solution level control system etc.Discipline and strict adherence to Operating and Quality proceduresKnowledge of industrial safety regulationsA team playerAdditional Information:At GE Aerospace, we are always searching for great talent.
