When you join Guerlain, artistry is everywhere, and wonders are born from the alchemy of diversity.Job DescriptionThe Regional VM / Retail Design intern will be part of the APAC Retail Design and Visual Merchandising Department, supporting the function in providing layout/planning solutions & 3D renders supporting store openings and animations as well as Counter Updates for Travel Retail and Local MarketsHer/his role is to effectively contribute through the design development and implementation for permanent counters/points of sale and events in compliance with the guidelines. She/He will consistently deliver, in line with brand DNA, design proposals fulfilling the latest guidelines and as per briefed/instructed by his/her manager.The incumbent will work closely their managers in keeping track that Design guidelines and deliverables are timely received and executed.He/She will be engaged working Counter projects and Project Management of Retail Space, based on the needs.Main ResponsibilitiesCREATIVE
  • To elaborate/develop design proposals & renderings, technical drawings in line with HQ Guidelines and the brief defined by Merchandising, Commercial and Marketing teams.
  • Study, adapt and implement guidelines to different markets’ needs.
  • Managing the project(s) as Project Leaders to ensure qualitative deliverables are being carried over from start to finish with supervision of respective reporting line manager.
OPERATIONAL
  • Work closely and supporting Retail Design Manager / Merch Executives to ensure flawless execution of counters, animations, launches and permanent merchandising.
  • Manage POS (Point of Sales) / Database Excel for the Region, ensuring accuracy and robust update from the market / relevant stakeholders & to provide daily maintenance of data with merch related information – cross collaborative function with Supply Chain team.
  • To supervise and review project execution from technical drawings development to installation: including sourcing, sample validation, prototyping, and quality control.
  • Manage external suppliers (contractors, agency , vendors, etc) to ensure all collaterals are well ordered and/or produced in concurrent with the standard and guideline.
  • To upkeep the database of counters and work with external department (Marketing, Retail Excellence , Finance, Supply Chain)
  • To manage the weekly newsletter provided by HQ and do readaptation on local / regional context across all region – cross function scope together with marketing team
  • Attend team meetings to gain insights into the strategic planning process as well as providing a thorough minutes of meeting
QualificationsYour skills and experience
  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited program in Interior Design, Architecture, Visual Merchandising , Business Marketing and/or related field.
  • Ability to create, communicate and implement consistent VM guidelines / Retail Design Guidelines set by Global.
  • Detail oriented & keen observer.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage complexity.
  • Proficiency in design software such as SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), or similar programs. Knowledge in AutoCAD is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Passionate to work in Luxury Industry with diverse cultural exposures and nationalities.
  • Proficient in English, Mandarin / other language profiency is a plus
