The Career Conversion Programme (CCP) (Train-and-Place with Commitment to Hire) for Advanced Biopharmaceuticals Manufacturing Executives/Professionals is a talent development programme aimed at building the next generation of skilled manpower for Singapore’s Biopharmaceuticals manufacturing industry in anticipation of hiring demand.The training programme consists of 15 months of local attachment with GSK. Due to the nature of the programme, we can only consider Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents. For more information, please visitA certificate will be given to successful trainees upon completion of the programme.Purpose:Engineers in this category are expected to have role-related competencies and technical skills necessary for success.Coupled with an attitude to learn, these engineers are responsible to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operation and maintenance of systems, equipment and processes to minimize downtime and ensure system and equipment performance comply with cGMP, EHS and GEP requirements and able to operate at optimal condition.Key Responsibilities:Utility * Perform daily operation and maintenance of Utility plant and utilities services.
  • Utility Plant: Waste Water Treatment
  • Bio-Decontamination : Ethanol Storage, Technical Gases
  • Utilities Services: Black Utilities, Clean Utilities
Provide reliable plant utilities services of heating, cooling, steam, gas and air by involving in installation, modification and maintenance activities on plant facilities and utility systems.Ensure smooth utility plant operation by determining work priorities; scheduling repair / maintenance of equipment for plant facilities and utilities services.Implement preventive maintenance programs by reviewing operations, quality control and maintenance reports and statistics; inspect operating equipment and systems for conformance with operational standards / cGMP for plant facilities and utilities services. Support project and commissioning of utility systems by reviewing new commissioning plans; discuss equipment needs and modification with contractors/engineers/consultants; coordinate activities of utility technicians involvement.Maintain utility technician job results by coaching, counseling and disciplining technicians; plan, monitor and appraise job results.AutomationEnsure Automation systems are at the required availability level. * Ensure Automation System operate smoothly and deliver the required reliability and availability level.
  • Support all routine planned maintenance activities under the Automation team are completed on schedule.
  • Complete any breakdown repair, troubleshooting and ensuring corrective action / preventive action (CAPA) is in place to eliminate similar breakdown.
  • Work with cross functional teams in routine cGMP equipment / system to re-qualification activities.
  • Execution of Automation System related SMR/RPC implementations.
  • Performance monitoring of Automation System.
Site Automation system comprises of the following: * Process Control System (PCS) — Emerson Delta V
  • Particle and Environment Monitoring System (PEMS) — GSK Global solution for environment monitoring
  • Automated and Analytical System (AAS) — PLC or PC Based Control
  • Systems for Site Utilities control and Production processes
  • Automated and Analytical Workstation (AAW) — BC based control connected and staged via GSK IT software application library and GSK network
HVAC * Operate and maintain of HVAC and Clean Room systems to provide the required level of availability.Project * Support organization operations on CAPA projects / engineering change modification execution to meet users' requirementValidation * Provide engineering qualification and validation life cycle support (excluding Automation / Computer System) to meet cGMP, GSK guidelines / policies, site procedures and regulatory guidance by ensuring all new engineering CAPEX / Modification is performed according to the Validation / Commissioning master plan and User Requirement Specifications.Electrical * Assure all electrical switchboards, power supply panels for process plants equipment and utilities area are well maintained for maximum plant availability at all times ​Mechanical * Maintain and calibrate plant equipment and in qualification state for maximum plant availability at all timeSkills:ProfessionalDegree in relevant engineering field or Diploma with at least 10 years of working experienceBusinessGood interpersonal skills.Good oral and communication skills.Customer focus and result oriented.Good teamwork.Competencies:Positive attitude with an eager mind to learnDisplay good teamwork and be able to work independentlyResourceful and observant for detailsAble to adapt to changes and quick to settle in​​Where will I be based?You will be based at one of our manufacturing site in Singapore near Tuas.How can I apply?Applications are now open.
