Purpose: Responsible for establishing process steps to produce in-house-made parts and meet customer expectations concerning quality, lead time, cost, and technological needs. Process Engineer drives improvements in process methods to enhance performance and output.Key Area of Responsibilities:
Establish process steps to produce in-house-made parts and meet customer expectations in terms of quality, lead time, cost, and technological needs, without compromising health and safety.
Create process routing (work instructions) & BOM in ERP, and prepare an Inspection Method Sheet (IMS)/checklist.
Read and interpret 2D drawing, 3D model and customer specifications on drawing.
Ensure process routing is ready for both the first article and volume production.
Perform sustaining engineering work (documentation of the process, optimization of resources, support production team, resolving technical/quality issues).
Monitor process performance (quality, cost, lead time) and yield using tools (e.g. SPC).
Monitor First Article (FA) progress and resolve technical issues in a timely manner to ensure smooth production flow from FA to volume production.
Drive improvements to process methods to enhance performance and output.
Take accountability in leading special projects and processes, treating it like a specialist in the identified process assigned by a superior.
