Our client is seeking for an accomplished leader in project management and engineering to steer the planning and delivery of Singapore's regional energy interconnections, coordinating with partners and authorities to ensure timely completion and integration of cross-border power infrastructure into the national gridThe successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
  • Work with identified technical partner to ensure the successful design, construction, and operation of cutting-edge interconnector infrastructure from overseas countries launch points to cross-border sea corridors to coastal landing sites to deep integration into the national grid.
  • Navigate Singapore and ASEAN countries with purpose: Engage Singapore and foreign government stakeholders to pioneer land use and marine space strategies that meet regulatory, environmental, and security-by-design requirements. Your work will influence approvals on vital elements such as land and foreshore leases, EIAs, and marine permits.
  • Deliver complex infrastructure on time: Drive the end-to-end delivery of high-impact projects, collaborating with international partners, agencies, and vendors to align timelines, budgets, and resources ensuring Singapore's power future arrives without delay.
  • Be the glue across disciplines: Ensure seamless coordination between engineering, legal, environmental, and regulatory stakeholders, resolving issues swiftly and keeping communication lines open across public and private sectors.
  • Own solutions, not just problems: Step in when the unexpected happens - anticipate, troubleshoot, and resolve challenges during development and operational stages, always with a long-term systems view.
The successful candidate should possess the following:
  • Experience in leadership for technical, land planning and project management roles within the energy infrastructure sector.
  • Education in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Expertise in overseeing or contributing meaningfully to large-scale infrastructure or energy projects.
  • Proficiency in software tools for project management, technical design or land planning
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills for liaising with technical partners and stakeholders.
