
AVP/VP - Investment Group (Technology-based Solutions)

- Identify and screen investment opportunities across the key decarbonisation themes and sectors, such as biofuels, circular economy and energy transition.
- Proactively identify investment themes and thesis-driven opportunities across targeted sectors.
- Build strong industry networks to support origination and deal sourcing.
- Lead workstreams on technical analysis (e.g. financial modelling, unit economics analysis, valuation, benchmarking).
- Conduct in-depth due diligence (e.g. industry dynamics, competitive landscape, regulatory environment).
- Prepare investment memos and present recommendations to the Investment Committee.
- Lead or support transaction execution, including structuring, negotiations, documentation, and closing processes
- Collaborate with internal teams (policy & analytics, legal & compliance, risks, finance) throughout the deal lifecycle.
- Monitor portfolio company performance and support their strategic and operational initiatives.
- Work closely with management teams and other shareholders on business plans to drive value creation, including operational improvements, M&A strategies, strategic repositioning.
- Contribute to other organisational or institutional work (e.g. investment strategy / portfolio construction, thematic deep dives/ landscape studies, thought leadership initiatives).
- Represent the organisation at industry events and foster partnerships with ecosystem stakeholders (startups, VCs, policy groups).
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. STEM or relevant graduate degree is a plus.
- 4-7+ years of experience in private equity, venture capital, investment banking, or corporate development. Climate or sustainability-related experience is preferred.
- Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated interest in climate change, sustainability, and impact investing.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with climate tech or broader decarbonisation areas.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for action and collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
