About the JobAs a Consultant / Senior Consultant / Principal Consultant - Data, you will use your deep data expertise to develop actionable and effective data strategies to sustainably deliver business outcomes for our clients. You will be responsible for analysis, design, and consulting support for leading clients across Financial Services and/or Insurance sectors, as well as developing an understanding of our client's strategic direction and issues. Fitting that description, you will also need to be supremely motivated person and able to work in a team where clients become colleagues too.Responsibilities
  • Overseeing the client's data Target Operating Model (TOM), including design of processes, roles & responsibilities, and governance to sustain the data strategy in BAU.
  • Scoping, mobilizing, and running the delivery of client data strategy and operating model projects, and defining data policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Reviewing existing client data processes, tooling, and governance, and providing recommendations to improve their effectiveness.
  • Creating and driving solutions for any of the following areas: Data Classification, Data Protection, Data Retention, and Data Minimization.
  • Translating business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint to achieve business objectives and documents all solution architecture design and analysis work.
  • Providing deliverables like standard definitions, reference models, and architecture designs to help assess the impact of new and ongoing technology investment on the business and IT estate.
  • Acts as a consultant on a broad range of technologies, platforms, and vendor offerings to drive targeted business outcomes.
RequirementsKey for this role is there is requirement to have a background in Financial Services or Insurance within one of our core capability areas:
  • Digital Transformation
  • Data Strategy, Data Management & Data Analytics
  • Business & Finance Transformation
  • IT Transformation
We are also keen to bring on those from a consulting background in other industries that can then apply these perspectives and techniques to our core sectors and capability.We are looking for exceptional talent with the following:
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in business analysis and project management with a top management consulting firm or in other generalist problem solving environments across the Financial Services and/or Insurance sectors.
  • Strong emerging end-to-end generalist problem solving skills, e.g., defining, and deconstructing problems.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills; the ability to interact with colleagues at all levels and communicate effectively with stakeholders and clients, especially senior management.
  • Produce high-quality verbal and written consulting deliverables (proposals, customer presentations, consulting reports) to effectively communicate project findings.
  • Ability to think strategically, execute tactically, and enable cross-business and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of Agile ways of working would be an advantage.
