[What the role is]This is a 2-year position as a Lecturer, Design in the School of Design & Envrionment.[What you will be working on]Academic dutiesDevelop and refresh of assigned teaching modules.Set and process assessment for assigned modules.Teach modules in a classroom setting and in an online setting.Lead in the integration across modules to achieve the course objectives.Initiate and experiment with new pedagogies or learning technologies to enhance curriculum delivery.Non-Academic dutiesAdminister, review and develop sub-systems to support operations.Solve operational problems to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness.Supervise junior team members to ensure smooth operations.[What we are looking for]At least 3 years of demonstrated experience in Design/User Experience/User Interface/Product Design/Industrial Design with high level of proficiency in the following softwares:Adobe PS, AI, Premiere ProKeyshotFinal Cut ProFigmaApplicants must have strong communication skills and have an inherent passion to teach students both in physical classrooms and online learning environment. Having ACTA/ACLP certificate is an advantage.Candidate should be competent to plan, develop and teach at least three of thefollowing areas:Mastering Design ThinkingCoding FundamentalsInteraction DesignDesign StudioDesign CommunicationAesthetics & ErgonomicsDesign FundamentalsUser Experience: Introduction and ApplicationUser Experience in ActionApart from teaching full time diploma students, the lecturer will be teaching some modules in Part-Time Diploma/short courses to learners who are working adults and conducted in the evenings from 6pm – 10pm.
