[What the role is] This role will sit within our IT Operations Division – Systems Management team.[What you will be working on]Design, implement, and maintain Windows-based systems and infrastructure, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Objects (GPO) for Critical Information Infrastructure (CII)Ensure compliance, service uptime, quality, and resilience of Windows platforms through Day 2 OperationsExecute migrations from existing Windows platforms to newer versions or cloud-based solutionsImplement continuous improvements to reduce toil, optimise performance, and align with industry standards whilst adopting modernisation with minimal impactDevelop and manage automation scripts and PowerShell modules to streamline operations and improve efficiencyCollaborate with cross-functional teams, providing clear communication, comprehensive documentation, and regular reporting on system status and projectsImplement configuration management following industry standards such as CIS[What we are looking for]A relevant university degree with at least 5+ years of relevant working experienceProven experience in Windows system administration and engineering, particularly with Windows Server and associated technologiesStrong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Object (GPO) managementProficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation toolsExperience with virtualization technologies (VMware / OpenStack)Familiarity with version control systems, configuration management tools, and cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure)Experience in supporting critical systems and implementing security best practicesExperience in implementing configuration standards (e.g. CIS) with drift managementRelevant industry certifications (e.g. MCSA, MCSE) are beneficialClear communication (Verbal and written) and listening skills in EnglishExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environmentStrong service-oriented mindset with focus on operational excellenceEnthusiasm for learning new technologies and adapting to evolving IT landscapesAs part of the shortlisting process for this role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.This is a 2-year contract position.
