What the role is:You will be responsible in supporting the Ministry's mission to promote a culture of continuous learning and quality improvement to enhance health outcomes and patient experiences. You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.What you will be working on:You will be supporting the Director in driving the development, implementation and monitoring of national evidence-based quality improvement and high reliability initiatives to contribute to the delivery of safe and quality healthcare service. This includes: 1. Developing and implementation of policies, procedures, protocols, guidelines to promote high reliability and quality standards to enhance healthcare delivery and improve patient outcomes 2. Evaluating and reporting of patient safety measures and initiatives at the national and institution level 3. Portfolio-specific Competencies require • Systems thinking and analytical mindset - Ability to understand the bigger picture, current realities and interdependencies, develop a deeper appreciation of key issues, envision a better future state by formulating feasible, sound and timely decisions on a plan of action; • Foundational knowledge on quality and safety - Familiarity with basic concepts, theories or frames in relation to improving quality and safety; • Leadership and stewardship - Ability to positively influence and inspire the team members, MOH peers and colleagues, effective administrative skills to manage the National Improvement Unit (as Deskhead) Requirements • Tertiary education in biomedical sciences, pharmacy or other healthcare profession is preferred • Relevant quality improvement/patient safety experience or working in a healthcare quality/safety setting • Possess strong written and verbal communications skills • Aptitude for data evaluation and strong analytical skills • Good stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills • Organised and meticulous • Able to work independently and lead a team in a fast-paced working environment As part of the shortlisting process for this role, candidates may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.About Ministry of Health:The Ministry of Health's (MOH) vision is to champion a healthy nation with our people - to live well, live long and with peace of mind.
