The company is currently seeking a capable, experienced and passionate candidate to take on this role. The successful candidate will manage day-to-day operations and ensure the completion of all activities in line with required timeframes, quality standards and workload expectations.About VersalisVersalis is Eni's chemical company which operates at an international level in basic and intermediate chemicals, plastics, rubbers, as well as chemicals from renewable sources. In addition to managing the financial operations of Versalis Asia Pacific, which has an annual turnover of US$60 million, it also provides extended services to other Eni Group companies in the region, supporting upstream business activities.Main responsibilities:Controlling
- Ensure accurate preparation of budgets and forecasts, coordinating information flow to relevant units and headquarters.
- Manage company controls to analyse deviations from budget and prior year results, and collaborate with other departments to define corrective actions and efficiency improvements.
- Oversee the buying and selling processes of products; prepare economic reports by business/product to support sales and marketing activities, including short- to medium-term trade monitoring.
- Collaborate with the Sales Area to monitor purchase mark-ups and prepare customer sales pricing.
- Prepare economic, financial and commercial reports to support company management.
- Compile reports required by local authorities and legislation.
- Define the accounting structure in line with local GAAP, IFRS and Group guidelines, ensuring alignment of the Group Chart of Accounts with relevant standards.
- Liaise with auditors and provide necessary documentation for the annual audit process.
- Execute actions and verifications related to asset operations and tax implementations, including assessments and inventories of company goods and materials.
- Ensure alignment and consistency between local and main ERP systems, maintaining coherent data and chart of accounts.
- Support the setup and management of AFC services provided to other Eni Group companies in the region.
- Perform other duties as delegated by the AFC Manager, contributing to system implementation and process improvements across the region.
- Ensure that Versalis Asia Pacific and managed entities' financial statements fully comply with regulatory requirements and accounting standards (e.g. IFRS), maintaining effective internal controls including SOX and anti-corruption compliance where applicable.
- Review and update internal control procedures and enhance finance and accounting processes to reflect regulatory and business changes.
- Act as the focal point for statutory, tax and internal/external audits related to finance and accounting, providing justifications, supporting documentation and recommendations to senior management.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Management, or other relevant subjects.
- CPA qualification or equivalent experience with a proven track record.
- At least eight years of overall experience, including a minimum of five years in a similar role, preferably with strong planning, control and compliance knowledge.
- Demonstrated ability to independently complete a full set of annual financial statements for a company engaged in sales, marketing and production of multiple products, including import and export activities.
- Willingness to lead and work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Extensive knowledge of SAP, with expertise and analytical skills in managing large volumes of data using Excel.
- Fluent in business English.
- Proven managerial experience with the ability to supervise and influence others to achieve results.
