Your responsibilities include:Maintaining and advancing key data assets such as Data Lineage, Data Catalogue, and Data Quality assessments.Gathering and translating business and functional requirements into robust, scalable solutions by engaging with IT and business users.Developing smart solutions using SQL and Python for statistical analysis and machine learning to boost the efficiency and effectiveness of data quality and taxonomy management.Who you work withGroup Risk Management works independently to protect, build, and drive our businesses. Embracing change and managing growth in one of the world’s strongest banks.Department Description:The Group Data Management Office (GDMO) plans and executes key data initiatives to build long-term data governance and management capabilities that enable OCBC Group to meet its regulatory obligations and digitalization objectives.As part of its remit, GDMO manages areas related to Data Catalogue, Data Lineage, Data Quality, Data Dictionary/Business Glossary/Taxonomies and serves as the primary governance function in the Group.Who you areYou bring 2+ years of hands-on experience crafting complex, optimized SQL queries across large datasets, and are proficient in Python scripting.You have some exposure to big data technologies like Hadoop, Hive, or Spark, and are comfortable with data visualization tools such as QlikView or Power BI.Ambiguity doesn’t faze you — you excel at juggling priorities and solving problems creatively.You’re a collaborative team player who thrives on building win-win solutions with diverse stakeholders to uphold sound data governance principles.Experience in the financial services industry is a big plus.You communicate clearly and persuasively, both written and spoken.You’re a self-starter, intellectually curious, and imaginative when tackling challenges.Bonus points if you’ve worked with data management and lineage tools like AB Initio, Collibra, or Informatica.What we offer:Competitive base salary.
