Employment Type: Full-TimeJob Summary:We are looking for an experienced and reliable Welder to perform manual welding operations using SMAW and GTAW techniques. The role involves setting up workpieces using overhead cranes, executing high-quality welds in compliance with non-destructive testing (NDT) standards, and maintaining welding tools and equipment in good working condition. The ideal candidate will follow daily instructions from the Leadman, ensure adherence to safety and quality standards, and contribute to the overall efficiency and cleanliness of the worksite.Key Responsibilities:Receive daily work instructions from the Leadman.Transport and set up workpieces using overhead cranes or other lifting tools.Perform manual welding using SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) and GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) as required.Ensure welds comply with non-destructive testing requirements as carried out by independent or in-house Quality Control.Remove slag after welding to maintain weld quality.Control the usage of welding electrodes, wires, and flux to minimize unnecessary wastage.Ensure electrodes are preheated before use in welding operations.Report any abnormalities during the welding process to the immediate supervisor.Ensure welding cables are not coiled and that only required lengths are used during welding.Maintain daily housekeeping standards at the workplace.Ensure tools and welding equipment are maintained in good working condition.Perform any other related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.Requirements:Minimum 5 years of experience as a welder in an industrial or construction environment.Trade Certificate in General Welding; or completion of primary education with relevant welding experience; or qualifications deemed sufficient by Management.Indian nationality preferred.
