JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Enforce company rules and regulation and assist the Port Facility Security Officer in maintaining the requirements of the Port Facility Security Plan.
  • Supervise both In-house and security agency security personnel. Where necessary, assist and guide them as they perform their duties such as access control and screening of visitors, contractors, employees, vendors, delivery drivers, vehicles, etc. to prevent unauthorized access into the yard. This includes conducting of screening on visitors, contractors, owners, staff and their vehicles (if applicable) to prevent unauthorized access into the yard (for example: barred or blacklisted personnel).
  • Conduct daily shift briefings to the security team.
  • Conduct check on documents such as Outward Permits, Declaration forms, key book, Occurrence Book, vehicle entry permits, visitors data systems, etc. Monitor the Outward Permits file for items that are due to be returned to the yard.
  • Submit daily/monthly security and operational reports as required by security and yard management.
  • Assist in investigations on incidents, complaints, reports, queries, etc.
  • May require going on board vessels for special patrols, assignments or to attend to security incident.
  • Review CCTV footage for operational matters or when assisting in investigations
  • Ensure the maintenance of security systems, tools and equipment to keep them operational.
  • Assist the Port Facility Security Officer to coordinate approval of application forms including the collection of fees for pass making / replacements, wheel clamps and submit them to Finance.
  • Assist the Port Facility Security Officer in executing response plans during an Operation, Event or and in a Incident.
  • Conduct on-the-job training to newly joined security personnel and assess their performance and capability for the specific job functions required of the officer.
  • Conduct security outreach, briefings and crime prevention activities to stakeholders.
  • Ensure company procedures, risk assessments and instructions are followed and update them where necessary.
  • Ensure that Lost and Found items are accounted for when handing / taking over of duty and that these items are placed under lock.
  • Ensure applicable licenses and training of personnel under their charge are valid such as PLRD licence, SSIC, HSE Induction, Fire & Emergency Response related-training & certification, etc.
  • Any other assignments directed by supervisor or manager.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Secondary school education, GCE ā€˜O’/’N’ Level or equivalent
  • Valid PLRD Security License with minimum grade of Security Supervisor
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience in the security industry.
  • Familiar with using computers as job require to use IT systems such as emails, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Electronic visitor management system and other in-house systems.
  • Physically fit to perform static gate duty, document checks, cargo and material checks, and patrols along perimeter, inside buildings and yard operational areas.
  • Possess good leadership, supervisory and decision-making skills.
