VP, Structured Finance & Japanese Clients Relationship

• Develop and maintain relationship with and Japanese Companies and Japanese Governmental Agencies in APAC.
• Conduct marketing, origination and execution of project finance transactions in APAC.
• Liaise and co-work with relavant departments and SMBC group members to obtain internal approvals including credit / ESG / reputational risk perspectives
• Strategic planning for business development of structured finance area in APAC.
• Support ad-hoc works for some senior staffs at the same department.
• Share knowledge to team members and motivate others to maximize the outcome of the team

• Over 7 years of banking sector experiences and at least 5 year experience in structured fiance and/or project finance transactions.
• Experience and knowledge in project finance and Japanese ECAs/DFIs.
• Experience in working commercial banks/ECAs/DFIs - desirable if the candidate has experiences in both commercial banks and ECAs/DFIs
• Fluent in spoken and written Japanese is desirable as this role needs to discuss with Japanese government agencies/clients and make presentation in Japanese.
• Deep sector knowledges of infrastructure and power.
• Professional level of MS Word/Excel/Powerpoint,and the analysis and analysis of financial model.
• University graduate with strong academic background

• Good organisation skills and ability to prioritise, manage and meet expectations/deadlines with strong work ethics, integrity and commitment
• Knowledge of Japanese Banking Law and banking regulations
