What the role is:[What the role is] The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) ensures a secure and reliable supply of safe food for Singapore. The Digital Office (DGO), within the Science and Technology Division (S&T), is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SFA's digital capabilities and systems to enable efficient, effective, and resilient organisational processes.The successful candidate will join the System and Project Management Department under DGO. This role involves strategic planning and oversight of systems, projects, and initiatives that leverage technology to enhance the national food safety ecosystem and drive SFA's digital transformation. You will work closely with SFA Divisions to identify technological needs, define digital initiatives, and develop training plans to build digital capabilities across the organisation.[What you will be working on]Strategic Planning and Development
  • Drive prioritisation of projects within Digital roadmaps/masterplans
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand requirements and identify capability gaps
  • Communicate design decisions and solutions effectively to stakeholders
  • Oversee end-to-end product development, including IT infrastructure and application framework
Technical Leadership
  • Ensure compliance with IT architecture principles, standards, and guidelines
  • Manage system maintenance and operational readiness
  • Guide troubleshooting efforts and identify system enhancement opportunities
  • Evaluate and integrate third-party solutions
Project Management
  • Lead project teams and drive delivery timelines
  • Monitor project progress, risks, and issues
  • Implement risk mitigation strategies
  • Foster innovation and best practices within project management
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, including external vendors and partners
REQUIREMENTSEssential Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years' relevant experience
  • Proven track record in Systems Integration (SI) project delivery
  • Strong client-facing consulting experience
  • Expertise in SaaS platform architecture and design
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in cloud computing (Azure/AWS/GCP)
  • Experience with government technical services (GCC, GDC) preferred
  • Knowledge of industry standards, methodologies, and frameworks
  • Prior experience in SaaS implementation and management
  • Understanding of SaaS platform architecture, design patterns, and best practices
  • Experience in SaaS integration, API management, and middleware solutions
  • Knowledge of SaaS security frameworks and compliance requirements
  • Understanding of SaaS licensing models and vendor management
  • Experience in data migration and integration strategies for SaaS implementations

The SFA will serve as the single point of contact for public feedback on food-related issues, and strengthen management of foodborne disease outbreaks to protect public health. The SFA will also facilitate more business-friendly regulations with oversight of all food safety policies and consolidation of food laboratory capabilities to deepen competencies in food diagnostics, and research and development in food safety.
