The NTU Student Affairs Office (SAO) plays a pivotal role in fostering the holistic development of students. SAO is dedicated to fulfilling its mission of collaborating and co-creating a vibrant, meaningful, and enriching student life experience with its partners. This is achieved by promoting students' personal growth through co-curricular learning opportunities, which include student-led activities, leadership development initiatives, residential hall programmes, integration efforts, community engagement initiatives, as well as arts and sports development.This Manager will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the office, with responsibilities spanning administration, finance, facilities management, postgraduate student life, and student support services.ResponsibilitiesLead a team to deliver excellence in the following core areas:Postgraduate Student Life & DevelopmentLead planning, policy development, and evaluation of postgraduate student life strategies aligned with NTU’s Student Life and Lifelong Learning Goals.Drive collaborative partnership with NTU PACE, Graduate College, Schools, Faculty Advisots to co-create meaningful and relevant student development initiatives.Student Support ServicesAdminister the Work Study Scheme and its associated system— experential learning progamme for NTU students to take on training assignments within the campus and learn about working life.Provide advisory and operational support to 23 Hall Councils on matters related to budgeting, procurement, and asset management.Manage the processing of Co-Curricular Activity (CCA) certificate requests and coordinate the annual update of student CCA records.Finance, Procurement and AdministrationLead the planning, tracking, and reconciliation of the SAO’s annual operating budget and endowment funds.Oversee fixed asset management for SAO and student-managed facilities, including tagging, transfer, disposal, and annual verification exercises.Provide operational guidance on procurement matters across SAO, ensuring consistent practices and adherence to NTU financial and procurement policies.Supervise financial services such as virements, intra-company billing, accruals, and fund centre creation.Manage the annual SAO budget exercise and manpower planning, including mid-to-long term resource forecasting to support strategic decision-making.Oversee the administrative processes within the office. This includes working with the relevant departments on space planning/ reconfiguration, staff onboarding/ offboarding arrangements etc.Requirements:Degree from any discipline with knowledge of corporate functions such as Finance, Procurement, and Facilities. Strong ability in planning and administration.At least 10 years of work experience, with a supervisory role experience. Prior experience in the tertiary education sector will be advantageous.At least 3 years of supervisory experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.Relative familiarity with Finance practices, including some working knowledge of SAP.Analytical and conceptual skills, especially in understanding organizational change and making judicious decisions.Communication, negotiation and influencing skills.Ability to collaborate with University students from different cultural background.Resourceful, good analytical skills, operationally strong and detail-oriented with good problem-solving capabilities.We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.Hiring Institution: NTU
