Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Finance Associate to groom to management. This candidate will work closely with the Finance Team to prepare the entity and group-level accounts as well as the Group CFO and COO to grow the Helicap business.Responsibilities:
  • Manage full set of accounts independently, including preparing relevant listings and schedules, determining net asset values, and calculating fund performance
  • Responsible for regular accounting functions, including payroll, cash management and purchases
  • Prepare monthly financial reports for use by management
  • Manage relationships with professional service vendors, e.g. fund administrators, banks and auditors
  • Prepare quarterly GST submissions and handle local tax matters, ensuring timely submission to local authorities
  • Assist with corporate secretarial work and compliance requirements, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Assist in the preparation of surveys, reports and forms as required by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS)
  • Be involved in the distribution of returns to existing investors, including drafting of required documents
  • Perform any other ad-hoc assignments by management
  • Motivating and guiding junior staff in their day-to-day task
Skill Sets and Requirements:
  • Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent
  • 1 - 3 years of accounting work experience, preferably with an external audit background in fund accounting / capital calls / private equity / fund management firms
  • Strong technical foundation in Singapore FRS and IRAS regulations
  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills, and attention to details
  • Able to multi-task, prioritise and work within short timelines with minimal supervision
  • Forward-looking and proactive, with a passion for problem-solving, improving and/or implementing processes
  • Team player with strong organisational skills, low-level politics
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience in using accounting software such as Xero is a bonus
