Job SummaryThe Fleet Performance Manager will oversee vessel performance and utilization by leveraging digital tools (e.g., Coach, FOCUS). You’ll coordinate closely with vessels, technical managers, operations, and commercial teams to identify performance gaps, optimize voyage execution, and drive measurable improvements in fuel efficiency, emissions, and asset deployment.ResponsibilitiesPerformance Monitoring & Optimization
  • Ensure accuracy/completeness of vessel performance data and KPIs.
  • Analyze voyages (fuel, speed profiles, machinery efficiency) vs. benchmarks; recommend operational adjustments to reduce emissions and fuel burn.
  • Provide insights on hull/propeller/machinery performance to optimize cleaning, dry-dock, and maintenance schedules.
  • Align deployment strategies with performance data in partnership with chartering/operations; support commercial teams on cost–efficiency trade-offs.
  • Benchmark performance against peer fleet and industry standards; handle speed & consumption claims for T/C tonnage.
  • Negotiate hull/propeller inspection & cleaning contracts and arrange services with Operations.
Data & Reporting
  • Own daily/weekly/monthly reports from Coach; validate inputs and exclude inaccurate data.
  • Track and communicate KPIs for fuel efficiency and carbon intensity (CII, EEXI).
  • Build dashboards/visualizations for management (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Maintain monthly speed & consumption data in IMOS for all vessels.
Stakeholder Management
  • Act as primary point of contact for vessels, technical managers, operations, and internal technical teams.
  • Lead external review meetings with Coach and internal stakeholders to highlight changes and optimization opportunities.
  • Train ship and shore staff on platform usage and efficiency best practices; liaise with class, vendors, and digital providers for continuous improvement.
RequirementsQualifications
  • Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related discipline.
  • Seagoing experience as Chief/2nd Engineer preferred; or strong shore-based fleet performance/technical background wil be advantageous
  • ≥5 years in ship performance monitoring, technical operations, or energy efficiency.
  • Hands-on with fleet performance tools; strong analytics and large-dataset interpretation.
  • Familiar with IMO regulations (EEXI, CII, SEEMP) and emission-reduction strategies.
  • Proficient in MS Office and BI tools; experience with Coach Onboard, Veslink forms, and IMOS.
