What better way to experience Marriott International, Inc. than actually being part of us?DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIESThe program will include a range of formal and informal development opportunities at the hotels and at the Regional offices which will also equip you to support line management in the delivery of IT projects. It will offer a structure that allows progression alongside knowledge acquisition. Key responsibilities of the intern include:Work with the Director, iT PMO to develop a plan to roll out and track the key initiatives
  • Support Regional Director iT Operations APEC on:
  • Regional rollout planning
  • Regional Team Visit Business Update Presentation
  • Regional Team Calls and Meeting scheduling
  • Facilitate Area Office technology planning and improvement
  • Support the communication plan updating and rollout
  • Generate key reports including Internet, EPS, Bandwidth & GPNS compliance
  • Support key continent events, i.e. Regional iT Managers Conference
  • Work with Learning & Development team regarding training on using collaboration and content management tools
  • Applying technical knowledge and project management skills for special assignments
  • Manage the continent and regional key surveys
  • Create automated flows to simplify project processes
  • Generate dashboards to track project progress and for report-out
  • Support in the creation of communication decks for new rollout projects
  • Support filming and editing of videos for internal communication
  • Organize and design the SharePoint sites for end-user communication
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESYou should be a high-potential intern who is passionate, committed and keen to establish a career in the hospitality industry with the following attributes:
  • Ability to work with a variety of technical skill levels to translate existing business processes into detailed business requirements for use by technical teams
  • Able to clearly articulate ideas both orally and in writing to both technical and business audiences
  • Adaptability and ability to multi-task, and strong problem-solving skills are required
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio preferred (PowerBI, Microsoft Flow)
  • Professional conduct and appearance
  • Ability to work with a variety of technical skill levels to translate existing business processes into detailed business requirements for use by technical teams
  • Able to clearly articulate ideas both orally and in writing to both technical and business audiences
  • Communicating effectively: means speaking and writing clearly, expressing yourself well in groups and in one-on-one conversations
  • Customer service: implies a desire to identify and serve customers who may include the public, colleagues, partners and peers. It means focusing one’s efforts on discovering and meeting the needs of the customer/client
  • Project management: knowledge of and experience with tools and techniques for planning, organizing, monitoring and controlling projects and the information involved with those projects
  • Team player: Able to interact effectively with management and associates in Singapore and other regional offices and hotels, and able work independently, and/or as part of a team.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDEducation:Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or Information Systems preferred.RequirementsSingaporean, Singapore Permanent Resident Holder or valid student pass / work holiday passEligible for undergraduate in a Singapore registered university program / undergraduate or graduate of a university in Singapore, Australia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Switzerland, United Kingdom or United States.Prepared to commit to a six months’ internshipGrooming:All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Marriott standards.Marriott International is an equal opportunity employer.
