
Associate/ Assistant Manager, Strategic Communications

- Analyse news stories to spot opportunities for NVPC to insert a point of view
- Ideate creative and impactful angles and opportunities to articulate NVPC's vision, mission, values, purpose and impact internally and externally.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with key stakeholders to ensure integration and alignment in brand, messaging and expected outcomes.
- Engage different departments and teams to digest, translate and present NVPC announcements, research, programmes and initiatives to internal and external stakeholders, particularly the media.
- Contribute to the success of media events and media relations efforts by building media lists, drafting pitches, coordinating interviews and briefing sessions.
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of communication campaigns and initiatives, providing regular reports and insights for continuous improvement.
- Draft and edit internal communication materials such as posters and EDMs to effectively engage NVPC employees.
- Handle day-to-day administrative tasks associated with communications projects and initiatives.
- Degree or Diploma in PR, Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related
- 2+ years of experience in strategic communications, public relations, or a related role. Experience in the public sector is desired.
- Understands how to work well with key journalists, senior spokespersons and different types of stakeholders in the public service, corporate, non-profit sector
- Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to craft clear and compelling messages.
- Strong research and analytical skills to gather and interpret data for strategic insights.
- Bilingual business competency in any of these languages: English, Chinese, Malay or Tamil
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
