Production Planner ((Contract | Semiconductor)

- Responsible for the production planning / co-ordination, scheduling, and dispatching
- Monitor & support material supply flow and identify any shortages or bottlenecks in usage.
- Plans for production which includes releasing of work orders and ensuring on time delivery of shipments.
- Evaluate and analyze MRP output to ensure the correct material is driven, ordered, issued, and available for the Contract Manufacturing (CM) to support build and ship dates.
- Work closely with purchasing and warehouse/logistics groups to ensure on time receipt, delivery of materials and finish goods shipments.
- Drives and minimize excess and obsolescence inventory.
- Co-ordinate and resolve outstanding materials issues with cross functional department to eliminate surprises material shortages (E.g. RMA)
- Manage material transitions and work with CMs to use up all excess inventory.
- Monitor and track ECO’s for implementation, effectivity dates, rework, and inventory purge.
- Monitor and review shortage report to identify critical material shortage needs and work with procurement for improvement.
- Work with procurement team to ensure POs are updated or new POs are placed.
- Work with 3PL to ensure parts are ship on timely manners
- Work with manufacture engineering to correct BOM errors and follow through until the ECO implemented.
- Support monthly/quarterly work order-tool material variance review with finance.
- Develop and maintain key performance metric.
- Run weekly reports to determine (potential) material shortages that need to be expedited. Schedule a weekly meeting to follow up with buyer to ensure materials are available to support production use per load plan.
- Update consignment parts status report – provide material dock date, shipping tracking number
- Ensure all customer’s ECNs are implemented in a timely manner.
- Work with config engineer to correct BOM errors and follow through until the ECO implemented.
- Update work orders to add/remove parts per ECO.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in business or technical field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as production or factory planner, experience in the semiconductor equipment industry is a plus.
- Must have strong analytical skills and be detail oriented.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Team player, self-driven and able to work under pressure with a sense of urgency.
- Strong ERP/MRP system knowledge, SAP experience preferred.
