What the role is:You plan the conduct of cybersecurity audits to ensure the integrity and availability of MINDEF/SAF networks. On this, you plan and coordinate the cybersecurity audit schedule and define the scope of the audit work. You also validate the implementation of cybersecurity policies/controls for the networks.What you will be working on:In addition, you provide advice and assistance in cybersecurity measures for units in accordance with the organisation's cybersecurity policies. Your challenge lies in having a technical understanding of IT systems such as software applications and networking protocols. You need to understand cybersecurity concepts and methodologies, as well as technical solutions such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems. The challenge in auditing lies in integrating these knowledge areas to uncover and mitigate system vulnerabilities.What we are looking for:You must have a tertiary qualification in Information Technology (IT), Cybersecurity or any related field. Having attained professional cybersecurity certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is preferred. Possession of audit and technical background in IT, good planning abilities, good communication skills, the ability to multi-task and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment is essential. Relevant past work experience in the IT or cybersecurity industry, specifically in security compliance or analysis is preferred but not mandatory.
