In this role, you will be the R&D outpost to scout and evaluate local startups that are relevant for Global Maggie culinary sauces category opportunities and local implementation. You will provide strong scientific and technical guidance to project team members and lead and support projects to deliver innovative and competitive products/processes/systems in your field of activity in response to business and consumer needs. You will ensure detailed and signed innovation frameworks for I2L (focus on accelerator projects) and ensure that they are managed within time and costs.   • Proactively propose and drive new ideas/projects/methods to R&D
  • Actively scout and evaluate Food start-ups in AOA
  • Explore breakthrough process or technology that are patentable
  • Recommend, plan and deliver technical and scientific support for R&D projects as well as common projects with other R&D Units and/or Markets.
  • Lead and manage Food Accelerator projects in AOA
  • Support Food related Renovation projects and/or transfer of project to AOA
  • Present results/methods in written and oral form to interested parties or visitors.
  • Give operational support to customers, assistance in industrialization start-ups, follow-up product launches, including technical and product improvements.
  • Integrate Scientific, Technology, Quality and Safety and Environment knowledge into business.
  • Actively participate in Global Accelerator network and be aware of launches globally relevant to Food.
  • Coach and guide younger team members in own group and cross department
  • Mentor Project Team Members
  • Translation of scientific or technical discoveries into MVPs (Minimal Viable Products)
  • Preparation and execution of shop tests in international markets
What will make you successful
  • Bachelors' Degree in a related scientific field
  • 5-7 years of R&D or/and operating/factory experience
  • Up to date knowledge of quality, safety and hygiene requirements
  • Significant exposure to different parts of the organization (assignments in different centres or in Operations)
  • Proactive self-motivating mindset
