VP/Director, Corporate Sector Lending

Your key responsibilities:Work closely with our coverage teams in the region in the co-origination and business development of lending products. Advise, structure and execute primarily lending transactions, but also assist in establishing limits for Financial Markets products and/or trade finance products to offer tailored solutions to our customer’s requirements.Prepare credit proposals and manage the credit approval process for lending, trade finance and financial market limits, ensuring follow-up on post-approval conditions and covenants where the CSL team acts as the main point of entry for the Risk Manager.Work with other banks (in club/syndicated loans) on structuring transactions that meet clients’ needs and fit within the credit appetite of the bank.Responsible for the negotiation of loan documentation and trade finance documentation with clients, in close collaboration with the coverage team, Risk and Legal (if required, with outside legal counsel)Ensure appropriate portfolio management through monitoring of the performance of the companies in the portfolio, including identifying Early Warning Signals for a deterioration in credit quality and performing annual reviews. This includes responsibility for the quality of his/her credit files (risk costs, data quality, effectiveness, accuracy/efficiency, timeliness).Keep track of market developments for lending across countries and sectors covered to be able to adapt and respond to current events and changes in (local) market circumstances.To comply with relevant credit and non-financial risk policies as well as other policies and regulations, as the business first Line of Defense pursuant to the bank’s 3LOD governance framework.Support lending related projects, policy changes, etc. as part of change management, where required under relevant Wholesale Bank transformation/change strategies.Required skills and experience:University degree major in business/economics, law or relevant business discipline.A minimum of 10 years of experience for Director level or a minimum of 7 years of experience for VP level with proven track record in in corporate lending, credit risk, relationship management, leveraged finance and/or structured finance.Strong results orientation, comfortable with driving financial performance, such as revenues, fees, and returns.Strategic thinking skills, with ability to synthesize broad information quickly and cogently.Strong analytical skills (financial/credit), including financial modelling skills.An eye for detail.Strong client focus and proven ability in stakeholder management (both internally and externally)Someone who is self-motivated, “Hands-on” and possesses a positive and “can do” attitude.Ability to collaborate closely with product partners, particularly client coverage and risk management.Strong organizational skills and ability to handle pressure and tight deadlines.Team player with good interpersonal skillsEffective communicator who is fluent in English.Strong negotiating, relationship management and sales / presentation skills.Positive attitude towards change and ability to adjust to dynamic business environment.Preferred skills and experience:Experience in the Indian loan market
