JOB SCOPESummary of Job Responsibilities
  • Subject matter expert (SME) in sustainability and energy & water efficiency through innovative engineering solutions that optimize the total life cycle costs of MEP assets.
  • Provide technical support to Marina Bay Sands (MBS) and Sands China Limited (SCL) properties in their asset enhancement and life-cycle replacement journey through value-adding sustainability considerations.
  • Supports Corporate Sustainability and ECOTracker secretariat in leading all engineering & technical aspects of ESG including the ECO360 program.
  • Provide technical support to Asset Management in the engineering aspects of asset management initiatives including the RCAs & RCM.
Job Responsibilities
  • Gather as-builts, evaluate current installation & operating procedures for all major building services in MBS and SCL properties and conduct a holistic SWOT analysis of sustainability and energy & water efficiency performance.
  • Provide expert review and substantive inputs in the design, selection, technology, and operational know-how in all aspects related to sustainability, energy & water efficient building services, particularly in HVAC system.
  • Participate in testing & commissioning of new building services and recommissioning of existing building services, ensuring optimization strategies are implemented.
  • Collaborate with MBS and SCL in their implementation of sustainability, energy & water efficiency projects and initiatives.
  • Plan and drive a permanent measurement & verification project to measure the performances of all major plant systems and facilitate a holistic and purposeful energy & water management program.
  • Enhance the periodic review of energy & water performances and facilitate corrective actions.
  • Build and maintain rapport with MBS and SCL properties team as the go-to SME for day-to-day support including proof of concepts or trials of novel energy & water efficiency initiatives, tasks, and projects.
  • Enhance Corporate Engineering technical offerings by layering purposeful sustainable solutions.
  • Perform validation audits for all ECOTracker projects executed by properties.
  • Provide technical support to Corporate Sustainability in their monthly sustainability report and Annual ESG Report; and collaborate with ECOTracker secretariat in their bi-weekly reporting and bi-monthly Steering Committee presentations.
  • Supports Asset Management counterpart in their RCAs, RCMs, and any other asset management initiatives.
  • Develop and produce technical presentations and reports.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTSEducation & Certification
  • Possess a good degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Professional Qualification and Certification relating to Sustainability, Energy Efficiency, Green Buildings Accreditation or similar.
  • Solid Knowledge and Experience in Sustainability and Energy & Water Efficiency projects.
Experience
  • At least 7 years of proven hands-on experience in energy & water efficiency audits or Environmental Sustainability Design covering AHSRAE level 3 (detailed) audits for large-scale & complex building services.
  • Experience in building services design with deep understanding in HVAC system including design, controls, operations and optimization of water and air-side systems.
  • Project management experience in executing energy & water efficiency projects on existing buildings.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in using cooling load simulation software such as Carrier E20-II HAP or Trane TRACE 700 or equivalent. Experience in using BCA Green Mark accepted energy simulation tools such as IES VE or equivalent 8760-hour simulation software would be an advantage.
  • Abreast of the latest and upcoming cutting-edge technology in building services, automation and IoT would be an advantage.

  • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills, with an eye for detail.
  • Ability to produce reports and presentations using MS office.
  • Ability to operate in a global organization with operations in numerous countries with varying cultures.
  • Ability to manage teams (direct or indirect members) across countries and time zones.
  • Ability to travel internationally.
  • Possess the 'drive' and learner mindset.
  • Strong building services design and project management skills.
  • Proactive, with minimum supervision and independently, in a fast-paced environment with strict tight deadlines.
  • Possess good presentation skills.
