- Working closely with the larger facilities team, consultant and other specialists to ensure that project deliverables are met.
- Manage the work deliverables in accordance with the approved budget and timeline.
- Supervises a significant number of contractors (Including permanently stationed outsourced personnel) engaged in construction, renovation and repair projects on Campus buildings, structures, grounds and facilities.
- Carry out quality inspection on site and ensure quality of work to be completed on scheduled time. Work and results are viewed through inspection and analysis of records, reports and completed projects.
- Close site coordination of work with both internal and external parties and update Project management team on work progress, schedule, defects, handing over/taking over, etc.
- Determine the scope of the project and establish a detailed work plan, scope of works, equipment/material specifications, cost plan and implementation schedule for assigned projects.
- Creates and manages the scheduling of projects, renovation and capital projects with the approval of the project management team.
- Responsible for site progress to ensure the structural, architectural and MEP works, etc of the project team and sub-contractors are in compliance and carried out in accordance with approved specifications, material, drawing and authorities’ requirements .
- Maintains an overview of daily operations of responsible contractors to ensure maximum attention to safety and minimal disruption to school operations
- Ensures continuity and stability of the underlying campus infrastructure
- Any other responsibilities as and when required by the Facilities & Services Department
- Planning, organizing, and overseeing maintenance activities / repair within the facility assigned by the Projects & Maintenance Manager
- Assist in the procurement of supplies, equipment, and services necessary for maintenance operations.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Manage and maintain documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve the school maintenance via projects and cost-saving initiatives.
- Ensures compliance and the safest possible campus environment through proactive systematic inspections and oversight during any renovation / construction work.
- Ensures compliance of projects with Singapore statutes and obtaining all necessary permits and licenses for on-campus work.
- Identify, follow up and mitigate potential accidents, safety or health hazards within the working site.
- Ensures the effective onboarding and conduct of contractors to ensure health and safety and adherence to campus rules including child safeguarding.
- Participate in any school health and safety initiative.
- Use of schools purchasing and procurement procedures
- Review of monthly figures
- Ensuring approvals on all relevant Requisition Forms / invoices / payment documentation
- Establishing and following competitive schedule of rates (SOR)
- Ensures that expenses incurred within own areas of responsibilities are in line with the approved Budget
- Standardized designs and maintenance approach across the campus to ensure value for money
- Remains up to date with current maintenance and construction practices and technologies
- Sets and implements a tone conducive to effective communication
Providing assistance upon request by liaison with Academic personnel and other Department Heads on any information required or cooperation neededTeam Responsibilities

- Diploma in quantity surveying, architecture, construction, engineering or similar professional qualifications from recognized university or polytechnic.
- At least 4 years working experience in programming of and supervising general construction sites or similar job experience..
- Construction safety supervisor and/or Construction safety officer certificate is advantageous.
- Building maintenance background
- Autocad, BIM, sketch up or Revit experience an advantage.
- Plan, assign, organize, supervise, inspect, train and evaluate the work of others
- Supervise and direct significant facilities construction, maintenance and project management functions
- Review plans and specifications for building and related construction projects and determine compliance of plans with codes and regulations.
- Principles and methods used in various building construction and maintenance
- Methods, techniques and materials used in school construction, remodeling and rehabilitation
- Procurement procedures and implementation
- Architectural, engineering and construction methods of school facilities.
- Local building, environmental, accessibility and safety codes regulating building construction and usage
