- Perform set up and functional checks of all Endoscopy Diagnostic Equipment
- Ensure cleanliness and working condition of the suction and diathermy machines
- Perform functional checks on the Endoscopic Camera System and console to ensure it is in good working condition
- Ascertain and troubleshoot any equipment malfunctions, failure and technical difficulties
- Provide necessary technical support during equipment failures and collaborates with Biomedical Engineer of NUH for any technical problems needing further attention
- Coordinate and liaise with the Biomedical Engineer of NUH for the installations and commissioning of new Endoscopy Diagnostic Equipment and / or equipment for trial.
- Follow up on all repairs and schedule preventive maintenance services on Endoscopy Diagnostic Equipment carried out by the Biomedical Engineer Division, NUH or its vendors.
- Provide generic IT support to resolve hardware issues eg. printer, AIO, network, etc.
- Assist Endoscopy Centre with the collection, validation, and organization of data.
- Ensure data quality and integrity through data validation and cleansing.
- Support and maintain databases, data systems, and data entry processes.
- Collaborate with NUHS affiliated research teams and collaborators to identify data requirements and ensure data availability.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.
- Manage data storage and backup solutions to ensure data security and disaster recovery.
- Provide administrative support on matters pertaining to medical equipment
- Update and maintain records of all Biomedical Equipment kept in the Endoscopic Suite
- Maintain proper and accurate records in preparation of any impending surveillances from auditors or any relevant authorities.
- Carry out pre-purchase evaluation together with the Clinician, Nurse Manager / Nurse Clinician and Operations manager before purchasing decision is made.
- Management of scope inventory and tracking repair and scope breakdown status.
- Analysis of the frequency and reason for scope breakdown to reduce scope downtime
- Maintain proper and accurate records of scope usage for all the Endoscopic Suites
- Participate in in-service programmes, group discussions and meetings
- To support workshop and research that requires endoscopy requisite
- Supervise and guide new and junior staff in their work.
- Performs any other duties as assigned by Reporting Officer
- Minimum 2 years of technical working experience in biomedical related field preferably.
