What better way to experience Marriott International, Inc. than actually being part of us?DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESThe intern will work with Marriott’s Area Operations, Singapore & Maldives team and based in the Singapore office. The intern will assist in projects, and supporting initiatives related to hotel operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Market research on new/recent projects
- Participate in hotel and market visits
- Take ownership of operational projects such as guest satisfaction, pre-openings
- Create and format presentation decks using PowerPoint
- Perform basic analysis using Excel and other relevant analytical tools
- Coordinate data / information collection with different teams
- Manage and respond to e-mails in an effective, organized and professional way
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and follow company policies and procedures
- Assist supervisor in facilitating appointments
- Assist team members other than your direct supervisor as needed
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested
- Display strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in handling data
- Be initiative, proactive, creative and have the ability to “think outside the box”
- Be responsible, well-organized and systematic in dealing with assignments
- Be flexible and adaptable to change and have awareness on different cultures in the region
- Have a good command of English – spoken and written, Chinese would be an added value
- Have good interpersonal and communication skills - able to work in a team
- Tech savvy - proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
