- Responsible for the overall architecture related to the Finance solutions.
- Develop enterprise-wide architecture strategy and design future-ready ecosystems that meet the strategic requirements of the business.
- Be a trusted advisor to a range of stakeholders. Provide consultancy and influence senior leadership teams. Facilitate decisions ensuring the agreed solution balances functional fit, cost, service quality and systems management requirements at a high level. Drive out adoption of new technology and re-use of existing technology decisions as appropriate.
- Key contributor to the wider Marketing IM Architecture strategy and roadmap, that meets the requirements of the business. Facilitating development of enterprise-wide solutions that include business and technology capabilities and defining and communicating the current and future state architecture for a business portfolio including roadmaps and technology investment prioritization.
- Provide architectural leadership to multi-disciplinary teams and drive architecture workshops, review boards, and collaboration sessions.
- Provide consultancy in the start-up phase of projects to ensure high-level solution assurance as well as providing high-level design assurance throughout project delivery.
- Understand production plan, identify, and manage project design dependencies and design decisions, and provide support for identifying resource expertise based on solution complexity and design.
- Review and challenge the high-level cost of proposed solutions ensuring cost covers all aspects of technical elements, infrastructure, work breakdown and resource cost.
- Effectively engage and manage key stakeholder relationships collaboratively within the architecture community and the wider capabilities of Marketing IM, Group IM, Digital, third party vendors, and within relevant business areas.
- Modernize the Marketing architecture, leveraging the latest trends in the technology, including determining the right platforms and architecture with scalability consideration.
- Responsible for capturing, prioritizing, incubating, and exploiting market and environmental trends to the benefit of Marketing, working in collaboration with colleagues from the business, Digital, BI and Group IM.
- Proactive contributor to the Architecture Community of Practice, encouraging innovation amongst the community and supporting individuals and teams to share creative ideas and learn from failures.
- Ambassador for innovation, with the ability to connect relevant technology advancements with opportunity for business strategy execution.
- Defining and implementing architectural quality controls, standards, and practices to ensure compliance and cohesion between business and technology strategy and Marketing transformation activities.
- Responsibility for defining and maintaining best-practice, high value, architecture artefacts.
- In depth Functional and Technical expertise in Finance solutions
- Proven experience working in a commodities/financial environment in strategic IT roles at senior technical level
- Experience of SAP and other third party products implementations involving multiple entities
- Deeper understanding of the Finance and performance reporting, tax and treasury management process.
- Expert in using enterprise solution architecture tools and techniques
- Expert of architecture governance and design assurance processes
- Experience of Commodities value chain (Trade Lifecycle), Contract to cash
- Knowledge of Physical and Financial markets in mining or commodities industry.
- A proven track record of delivering business value from technology by aiding clients to develop and govern their enterprise architecture
- Deeper understanding and knowledge of digital trends in commodities Finance space
- Strong working knowledge of the latest digital and emerging technology solutions and how these can be leveraged to business advantage.
- Proven experience of project and programme delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall etc)
- Demonstrated understanding of architecture deliverables through the project life cycle based on complexity and timeline of projects/programmes
- Experience of working in a multi-vendor and supplier environment, maximising value delivered from Marketing IM's investment in Microsoft services
- Good stakeholder engagement and influencing skills with colleagues, partners / vendors & project sponsors
- Experience of developing enterprise architectures in large corporate environments, including strategy formulation, roadmap development and target architectures
- The ability to negotiate complex issues and how to reach a consensus with key stakeholders through an understanding of modern technologies
- Demonstrate experience in participating in large scale software development projects, providing advice, guidance and architectural services into engineering teams and programme delivery teams
- SAP (FM, Ariba, AFC),FIS Quantum, Anaplan, Blackline
- Experience with various structure and unstructured data solutions
- Deep understanding and experience of creating cloud based microservices architecture with Azure/AWS cloud
- Experience working in an Agile development environment
- Deep understanding of Azure DevOps
- Experience designing analytics solutions driving insights from large data sets
- Strong experience of business driven and test-driven development
