- Under general supervision, develops, documents, and maintains environmental health and safety (EHS) programs.
- Act as point of contact for all EHS related matters.
- Provide over-arching EHS support during project construction.
- Implement risk assessment and mitigation measures.
- Monitor local EHS regulatory updates and provide advice and consultation on safety and health to engineers to maintain work site in compliance with EHS related legal compliance requirements.
- Manage contractor safety management and permit to work system.
- Oversee and review all the accident/incident investigations and reports.
- Gather and compile monthly EHS statistics and reports to the site leader as assigned.
- To conduct independent assessment on any incidents / accidents at the site.
- Responsible for coordinating, implementing, and monitoring the workplace and environmental health and safety plan of the project.
- To facilitate Industrial hygiene monitoring (noise, IAQ) as required
- To facilitate emergency preparedness matters (annual fire safety equipment inspection and coordinate with property management on emergency drills).
- Take over as point of contact for liaison with authorities for certification and licensing (E.g. MOM, NEA, SCDF).
- Performs other duties as directed.
- Remote support Malaysia and Philippine EHS matters. (as needed)
- Specialist Diploma in WSH with minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing/ Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC) industry OR;
- University Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety and Health, Chemistry, Physics, Biology or Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering or closely related field and 2 years directly related experience.
- Experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining EHS operations for Manufacturing/Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC) industry will be an advantage.
- Fire Safety Manager and/or WSHO is an added advantage (not a must)
- Work At Heights management competencies is a must.
- Certified Occupational First Aider has an added advantage.
- A good team player with positive learning attitude.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skill.
- Ability to work independently to meet assigned schedules.
